Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cost of therapy? Do you accept insurance?
Vital Parts Psychotherapy accepts only private pay clients at this time. In the state of Colorado, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services, such as individual therapy. The cost of individual virtual therapy is $165 per 50 minute session. For clients attending weekly sessions, the estimated yearly cost would be approximately $8,000 a year if attended religiously, while biweekly sessions would total around $4,000. These estimates help you plan for your therapy expenses and ensure transparency in your financial commitment before beginning treatment. Therapy is an ongoing investment in your well-being, rather than a short-term solution, which should be considered before beginning.
While Vital Parts Psychotherapy does not accept insurance at this time, a super bill can be provided for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, dependent upon your coverage.
Who are your clients?
Vital Parts Psychotherapy serves individual adults aging 18+. Alissa has a long history of working with neurodiverse individuals, individuals facing major life transitions, individuals with c-ptsd & complex relationships, individuals navigating chronic illness, and individuals experiencing grief and loss. Her clients are often highly-sensitive and deeply impacted by both their inner and out worlds. They typically have high levels of self-awareness that lends itself to deep reflection, but also self-criticism. Alissa offers the opportunity to move beyond hyper-thinking and criticizing, and guides clients into a kinder appreciation for their inner workings, so that they may get clear on their needs, desires, and processes, and work more effectively to support them.
Why offer virtual therapy sessions, rather than in-person?
Virtual psychotherapy offers unparalleled convenience, allowing clients to participate in sessions from the comfort of their own homes, which can reduce barriers to access. This format often leads to increased flexibility in scheduling, enabling clients to prioritize their mental health without the constraints of travel time. Additionally, the virtual setting can foster a sense of safety and ease, encouraging more open communication and deeper engagement in the therapeutic process.
Offering virtual psychotherapy allows services to be accessed by a broader public, including rural and under-served populations, and virtual formats insures Vital Parts Psychotherapy can serve the entire state of Colorado, rather than a strict locale.
What is your scheduling and cancellation policy?
Clients of Vital Parts Psychotherapy are expected to attend weekly or biweekly sessions to insure therapeutic efficacy. Unpredictable circumstances happen. Cancellations that occur within 48 hours of your appointment time will be charged the total session amount, with one free-be the first time it happens. If you are arriving late, please contact your counselor as soon as possible. If a client has not arrived to session by 20 minutes past the start of the appointment time, the appointment will be canceled and the full amount will be charged.
